Freshman Hadley Mahoney is the top ranked individual in Class B, her 19:33 personal best is one minute better than what any one else has run this fall in the conference.
The top three teams plus the two fastest individuals will automatically qualify for the Class B state meet.
Leading the way in the individual race is Maine MileSplit Watchlist #9 Hadley Mahoney is the favorite. She has had a great freshman campaign that saw her run a best of 19:33 last week at Cape. Alana Nataluk of Fryeburg Academy got a late start to the season but she'll contend for one of the individual qualifying spots. Maddie Marston of Yarmouth and Abby Irish of Greely are the other runners who have broken 21 minutes for 5k this fall.
On the team front #6 ranked Cape Elizabeth and #9 Greely are expected to advance to the state meet based on their results so far in 2020. The battle for the third spot should be a good one with Yarmouth and Freeport, plus with Wells and York added to the mix.
