Help Coach Dan Campbell As He Battles Cancer

Dan Campbell has been involved in cross-country and track and field for over 35 years of coaching experience. In November he was named the head cross-country coach at Thomas College in Waterville, after previously working coaching at the University of Maine at Farmington from 2016-2018. Campbell is probably best known for his success at Edward Little High School where he guided the Red Eddies to state titles in cross-country, cross-country skiing, and outdoor track and field.

In December Campbell was diagnosed with throat and lung cancer. He has had a positive impact on thousands of athletes throughout his coaching career. Now is the time to help Coach Campbell out as he goes through the trials and tribulations of battling cancer including radiation and chemotherapy treatment.

His good friend Marube Moninda wrote this on the GoFundMe page he created to help raise funds for Campbell's medical bills related to his cancer treatment

"I know Dan has touched thousands of people's lives through both his 36 years of coaching and as a substance abuse and drug addiction counselor. On Thursday, he drove up North over 300 miles one way to see a client even though he wasn't feeling well and when I asked him why would he do that owing to his health, he said "Moninda, I know I'm unwell but I need to see this guy for the last time while I can for my tomorrow is unknown." I know many will attest to what I'm saying about Dan Campbell's values. I kindly implore us to come through for him at this time of need through prayers, and financial assistance to beat this ugly cancer so he can continue to serve others as he has diligently done over the years.
