With no SMAA regular-season meets scheduled last week, Thornton Academy senior Mia-Claire Kezal traveled to Boston to compete in the Terrier Classic. Kezal ran a personal best 2:14.77 to win the fourth section of the 800m recording splits of 31.74, 64.76 (33.03), 1:40.02 (35.27) along the way. With 300m to go the United States Naval Academy commit moved to the lead and held off all the challengers over the final lap. Overall Mia-Claire finished 13th in a field of 74 competitors. Her time is the fastest 800m in Maine this winter.
