Gorham senior Andrew Farr return to action in the 400m last Saturday at the final SMAA regular season meet of the indoor season. The state leader in the event at 50.34, the Yale bound Farr matched up against state #2 Jayden Flaker of Scarborough and Zach Barry of Scarborough the top distance runner in the state this winter. Flaker took the race out hard getting to the cut line first, and through the 200m in 23.5. Farr started to move at the bell moving to the outside of Flaker down the backstretch. Flaker tried to hold him off but Farr was able to pull ahead at the turn, and sped away to victory in 50.45. The time matched the SMAA league record held by Jarett Flaker. Barry snuck by Flaker 52.19 to 52.27 to finish second.
