XC Countdown 2022: #6 Bangor Boys

Maine MileSplit 2022 XC Team Countdown

With the calendar switching to August soon we wanted to switch gears from the track to the trails to get ready for the upcoming cross-country season. Athletes around the state are hitting the roads and trails building up a strong base in hopes of a successful cross-country in 2022, with the hopes of lifting the state championship as a team in November the ultimate goal. Our plan is to highlight who we think are the top 25 returning girls and boys xc teams over the next three weeks. Thanks to Cheverus XC/track coach Nick Denari for volunteering his time and efforts to put this countdown together.

Kevin Fogarty had a great freshman campaign for the Rams look for this fall from him.

2022 Outlook: Bangor brings back 3 athletes from the squad that took them to the brink of a State Championship. The Rams will need to fill some major holes left from the team that finished 2nd in Class A in 2021. Underclassmen Ethan Demerchant and Kevin Fogarty should lead the way and will hopefully provide two athletes under 17 minutes. Ethan Partal will look to join them after running 4:45 and 10:41 for 1600m and 3200m on the track. So long as the Rams can find a solid 5th runner, they should finish towards the top of Class A in 2022.
