In the varsity boys race, it was a tight race for the first two miles before Ethan Roach of John Bapst pulled away from George Ferland and Ephraim Willey, both of Caribou. Roach, a junior, went on to win in a time of 17:46.50. When asked about the course and how he managed to pull away for the victory, Roach said "the course is a hard one. It was hot and hilly today. It is one of the tougher courses. But knowing (Caribou) was right behind me kept me going."
