Freeport senior Henry Horne wanted to take one last shot at a fast 1600m so when he found out he couldn't get into the New Balance Nationals as the fields were full he organized a time trial and had the help of some friends to pace him. Helping Horne with the pace were Miles Logan of Brunswick, Bryan Stark-Chessa of Cheverus, and Ian Moore of Freeport. The splits were 64, 62 (2:06), 61 (3:07), and 65 (4:12.4).Horne's best high school mile was a 4:17.84 run at Loucks Games earlier this spring. At the Class B state meet he clocked 4:24.01, 2:01.83, and 9:52.57 to win the distance triple.
