Maine HS Boys Cross-Country Team Rankings for Sept. 12

2023 Maine High School Boys Cross-Country Team Rankings for the Week of September 11th

Our first rankings since the preseason saw plenty of movement from teams as they got on the trails for the first time this season. We have also added in the top seven class rankings.

The top two teams remain the same after the first few meets of the season with Hampden and Portland missing meets due to weather. Both squads look talented and deep to start the year. Brunswick was a big mover going from sixth in the pre-season up to third after their first two meets. Defending Class B champion Freeport remains loaded. The Scots of Bonny Eagle are off to a strong start but have dropped down a couple of spots, while Scarborough has moved up a spot to seventh. Camden Hills is back to seventh but that is based off only one race. The Cougars of Mt. Blue look good early on and have moved up a couple of spots. York remains in ninth, while Messalonskee has gone from unranked during the pre-season up to tenth after a strong start to the season.
