Northern Maine Regional Cross-Country Preview

Near-perfect conditions will greet the best runners in Northern Maine as they embark on the Northern Maine Cross-Country Regional at Troy Howard Middle School in Belfast on Saturday. The Class C boys will get the action underway at 11 am followed by the girls at 11:40 am. Class A boys will go next at 12:20 p.m. followed by the girls at 1 p.m. Closing out the day the Class B boys toe the line at 1:40 p.m. with the girls set to go off at 2:20 p.m.

2024 Top Runners: Teanne Ewings (Houlton/GHCA) #1, Natalie Johnson (Houlton/GHCA) #7, Clara White (Orono) C#5, Maya Boyington (Orono) C#7

2024 Top Teams: Houlton/GHCA, George Stevens/Blue Hill, Narraguagus

Only three teams enter at least five runners so based on that only four teams will advance as that is the minimum set by the MPA but it is unclear how they determine the fourth team. Teanne Ewings will be the favorite to win her first individual NM regional title.
