Lewiston senior Enzo Giampaolo is the fastest returner in 2025 with his 15:45.52 effort from the Southern Maine Classic. He is also the top returner from the state meet, where he finished as the runner-up in 2024.
Looking at the team rankings, Hampden Academy will enter the season as the favorites, with Portland, Bangor, and Camden Hills close behind. Scarborough, the 2024 champion, has the fifth-best returning based on 2024 XC bests for 5k. The state meet will move to Belfast next fall, so expect some fast times.
