Bucksport Girls Soar to Class C State Title

The 2025 Class C Girls Outdoor Track and Field Championship saw Bucksport High School rise to the top, scoring 91 points to secure the team title over a deep and competitive field. Fueled by sprint victories, hurdle excellence, and relay strength, Bucksport fended off challenges from Maine Central Institute (72.5 points) and Orono (65 points) in a meet loaded with star performances.



Bucksport's championship run was led by Haley Rosewho was one of the top athletes of the meet. 
She accounted for 30 individual points with a sweep of the sprints. 
  • 1st in the 100m dash (12.74), 400m (60.49), and 200m 26.18)

Sister Madison Rose added crucial points in the hurdles and anchored Bucksport's 4x100-meter relay team to a victory in 52.92 seconds.
  • 2nd in both the 100m hurdles (16.44) and 300m hurdles (47.19)

Chloe Bratcher and Ruby Pereira added a combined 10 points in the pole vault, finishing second and third. Additional scoring came from Natalie Simpson in the shot put and solid relay placements, including a victory in the 4x400 relay (4:19.48) to close the meet in dominant fashion.


Top Individual Performers & Multi-Event Stars


Angelina Boisvert of Maine Central Institute's remarkable versatility earned her four top-two finishes, a rare feat combining speed, power, and technical skill.


  • 1st in the 100m hurdles (15.97), 1st in shot put (33-9), 2nd in triple jump (34-4.5), and 2nd in long jump (16-4.75)


Teanne Ewings of Houlton/Hodgdon/GHCA, the reigning distance queen, dominated both long races with wire-to-wire victories.


  • 1st in the 1600m (5:03.74) and 1st in 3200m (10:55.54)

Karen Higgins of Boothbay/Wiscasset helped power Boothbay to a top-five team finish.


  • 2nd in the 1600m (5:12.33), 2nd in 800m (2:21.51) and 2nd in 3200m (11:29.37)

Easnadh Nobel To'olo of Orono led Orono's field event scoring surge with a strong three-event performance.


  • 1st in the triple jump (34-5.5), 1st in pole vault (10-0, and 3rd in long jump (16-2.5)

Jacqueline Diallo of Traip Academy was a breakout freshman who made a big impact in her first championship appearance.


  • 2nd in the 100m (13.03), 2nd in 200m (26.63), and 4th in long jump (16-0.25)
