Check out the top 280 rising senior boys cross-country runners from the 2024 cross-country season. Lewiston's Enzo Giampaolo, the Class A runner-up in 2024, leads the class of 2025. A year ago, he clocked 15:45.52 at the Southern Maine Classic before a huge performance at the Class A state meet, where he ran 16:22.49. Deering's Ellis Wood was 5th in the Class A meet, before adding a 34th-place effort at the New England championship. Wood won the 2-mile Class A title indoors and the 3200m title outdoors. He clocked the 10th fastest time, 9:12.62 in state history in the 3200 at the New England Championship to place fifth. Alex Gilbert of Freeport is the top returner from the 2024 Class B state meet. He placed 3rd, clocking 16:28.20. Gilbert was the 1600m & 3200m runner-up outdoors. The top of the list is filled with athletes who should contend for individual titles, plus many more who should figure into the mix come the championship season.
