Check out the top 221 rising junior girls' cross-country runners from the 2024 cross-country season. Karen Higgins was one of the top runners in the class of 2027 last fall. Higgins ran in Class C a year ago, finishing as the runner-up in the state meet. She will don new colors this fall and jump up to Class B as she has transferred to Lincoln Academy. In class A, Addison Elliott of Hampden Academy had a great state meet, finishing as the runner-up, and clocked a sub-19-minute time at Twin Brook last fall. In Class C, Paige Alexander of Waynflete will be one to watch, with Higgins transferring. She finished fourth in the state meet last fall. There are some talented girls in this class, with the likes of Georgia Moon, Allie Schmitt, Mackenzie Shields, and Parker Fox to name a few.
