Valentine continued his rise last fall, placing seventh at the Class A state meet after finishing tenth as a sophomore. He was at his best in the postseason, taking third at conferences and finishing as the regional runner-up. With his steady progression and championship-level performances, Valentine enters this fall as a serious contender for the Class A individual title and one of the top runners in the state.
