The season is just getting underway, and while not every athlete has a 5K mark on the books yet, here's our first look at the top 50 times of 2025.

Lewiston's Enzo Giampaolo, the state's #1-ranked runner, set the early standard with a 16:31.64 victory at the ELHS meet on Thursday. Close behind, Alex Gilbert of Freeport, ranked #3-clocked 16:38 on the challenging Laudholm Farm course on Wednesday.

Edward Little's Harper Borden has shown big improvement this fall, running 16:41.20 on his home course, just 10 seconds off Giampaolo's winning time. Meanwhile, Biddeford senior Jeffrey Casavant (16:58.72 at Noble) and Deering's Peter Rank (16:59.45) both dipped under the 17-minute barrier.
