Boys Nominees
Isaac Pelletier (Sanford) won at Thornton Academy, clocking a 16:35 for 5k
Asher Valentine (Hampden Academy) made a statement with his win at Cony with his 17:04 effort on the state meet course.
Henri Rivard (Marshwood) ran to victory at Smiling Hill Farm in 17:14.
Atticus Merriam (Scarborough) cruised to victory at Massabesic with his 17:22 effort.
Pierce Gorneault (Caribou), just a freshman, took the Sectional title with a strong 17:20.
Alex Gilbert (Windham) stayed undefeated with his 17:00 win at Fryeburg Academy.
Girls Nominees
Paige Alexander (Waynflete) returned to action for the first time this fall with an impressive 20:06 clocking at Twin Brook
Mackenzie Shields (Thornton Academy) won on her home course with a 19:58 effort.
Clara White (Orono) won the Sectional title in 19:52.
Lucy Huggett (Freeport) took the win at Fryeburg Academy with a 20:00 clocking.
Nora Schmidt (Portland) ran her fastest 5k of the season, 18:01, to win at Kennebunk easily.
Karen Higgins (Lincoln Academy) remains undefeated as she cruised to win on her home course in 19:01.
