Boothbay junior Chase Brown (pictured left) showed he's ready for a big year, crusing to a fine 33:58.9 to average under 5:30 a mile for 6.2 miles, Brown placed 77th overall. On the girls side it was two time defending Class B xc champion Abby Mace of Maranacook leading the charge. Mace ran 38:36.3 for a 6:13 a mile average.
