MaineTrackXC is pleased to announce the performance of the week for Oct 4th-Oct 10th are Chase Brown (Boothbay) on the boys side & Abbey Leonardi (Kennebunk) on the girls side. Brown had the fastest relay leg at the Mt. Blue Relays, covering the 2.03 mile course in 10:44, his time was just 7 seconds off the course record. For the 3rd time this season Abbey Leonardi has earned the Performance of the Week in a very close vote, earning one more vote than Fiona Hendry of Cheverus. Leonardi ran 17:54 for 5k on the Deering HS course, the time was the fastest time for any Maine school girl over 5k during the 2010 season. The time is also a new personal best over the distance for Abbey.
