Brunswick Girls & Edward Little Boys win Class A KVAC titles

 CLASS A KVAC MEET HIGHLIGHTS

The Brunswick girls took home the hardware for the KVAC Class A title, scoring a 22 point win over Mt. Ararat. They had several top level performance, and will head into the Class A State meet as the favorites to win the State title. On the boys side Edward Little scored an 11 point win over Brunswick, with Mt Ararat  in 3rd with 96. There were 4 new boys state leaders on the day led by McKenzie Gary's impressive 6.59 in the 55m, and 22.91 in the 200m, Lewiston 4x800 8:27.55, & Brunswick 4x200 1:36.19. On the girls side, Brunswick 4x200 added a new state leader 1:51.71 for the only state leader 

 

 

 

Boys

Lewiston throws down the gauntlet with a new state leading time in the 4x800 to start the meet off 8:27.55

 

McKenzie Gary (Mt. Ararat) explodes in the 55m 6.59, #2 performer in Maine All-time, and a new state #1 then lowers his state leading 200m to 22.91, to finish it all off he adds victory #3 with a 21-6 performance in the long jump.

 

Ryan Smith (Mt. Ararat) clocks Class A #3 performance in winning the 400m 53.40

 

Ali Hersi (Lewiston) the Class A leader in the 800m wins by 5+ seconds 2:02.77

 

Hussein Ibrahim (Lewiston) bests a strong 2 mile field breaking the 10 min barrier 9:59.55

 

Brunswick 4x200m Relay clocks a new Class A leader 1:36.13 to hold of Lewiston 1:36.72, Class A #2

 

Rudy Pandora (Lewiston) heaves a personal best 46-6 1/2 to win the shot put

 

Connor Harris (EL) adds a double victory 6-0 (HJ) & 43-8 (TJ) to lead the Red Eddies to the title

 

Mike Slovenski (Brunswick) clears 14-6 to win the vault by 3 ft

 

Girls

Brunswick opens the meet on the right foot with a 10:18.73 clocking in the 4x800

 

Alexis Dickinson (Brunswick) sprints her way to victory in the 55m 7.51, #2 time in Class A, #3 statewide, then comes back in the 200m to run a huge personal best 26.68 for state #2 performance

 

Alison Hill (Brunswick) lowers her 55m hurdle time to 8.81, which ties her for Class A #1, and state #2 performance, then dominates the Triple jump with a huge personal best 34-10 3/4, Class A #2, state #3

 

Katie McMahon (Brunswick) lowers her Class A leader in the 2 mile to 11:50.73

 

Brunswick & Edward Little close the meet out with an intense 4x200, the Dragons run 1:51.71 for a new state leader while EL clocks 1:51.97 for state #3 performance

 

Randi London (Mt Ararat) out over 39ft again in the Shot, 39-0 1/2

 

Lindsey Folsom (Cony) clears 11-0 again to win the pole vault
