PVC Small School Championship MEET RECAP
The 3200m & 4x400m Relay were unable to be completed due to weather issues. The meet will conclude on Tuesday, at that time we will update the results & give a full recap. Currently the Orono boys have a commanding lead with 116 points with Foxcroft Academy in 2nd with 46. On the girls side John Bapst holds a lead over Orono 129-103.

PVC track and field championships to be decided this weekend
Roughly a month of postseason play in high school sports kicks off this weekend, as Penobscot Valley Conference track and field teams will battle for conference supremacy. - 100 Meter Hurdles - Shelby Wheeler of Orono High School flew over the hurdles with a 17.09 victory. Wheeler had the top time out of the prelims (17.21)
- 1600 Meter Race Walk - Analies Dyjak of Orono High School ran a 8:50.27 that earned her the W
- 300 Meter Hurdles - Alex Crocker of Orono High School sailed past the barries for a 51.17 win, followed by Shelby Wheeler of Orono High School in 51.53, Logan Wilson of Central High School (52.87), Kayla Marquis of Orono High School (52.95)
- 400 Meter Dash - Emily Panciera of Foxcroft Academy sprinted 1:03.25 for the victory, followed by Brianne Robertson of John Bapst Memorial High School in 1:04.86, Chelsie Oldfield of Foxcroft Academy (1:05.18)
- 800 Meter Run - Chelsie Oldfield of Foxcroft Academy got it done, winning in 2:30.29, just over Maggie Bryan of John Bapst Memorial High School 2:30.33
- Discus - Rebekah Campbell of Central High School hurled a victorious 105-6
- High Jump - Jen Daley of John Bapst Memorial High School got over 5-0 in her victory, followed by: Janelle Portman of Central High School (4-10), followed by: Briana Worster of Piscataquis Community High School (4-10)
- Javelin - Taylor Zeigler-miller of Bucksport High School hurled a victorious 100-4, followed by: Analies Dyjak of Orono High School (98-10), Liana Arquette of George Stevens Academy (92-0)
- Long Jump - Vika Grindle of George Stevens Academy lept 15-7.75 to get first, followed by: Carolyn Benner of John Bapst Memorial High School (15-2.5)
- Pole Vault - With the bar at 9-0, Shelby Wheeler of Orono High School gets the gold, followed by: Kayla Marquis of Orono High School (8-6)

- 100 Meter Dash - Miguel Caballero of Orono High School sprinted 11.40 for the victory, trailed by Phil Holmes of Orono High School and his 11.62. Caballero had the top time out of the prelims (11.43)
- 110 Meter Hurdles - Benjamin Plohr of George Stevens Academy sailed past the barries for a 16.26 win. Plohr had the top time out of the prelims (17.02)
- 200 Meter Dash - Impressive top speed helped Miguel Caballero of Orono High School win in 23.54 with Phil Holmes of Orono High School in tow at 23.61
- 300 Meter Hurdles - John San Diego of Sumner Memorial High School sailed past the barries for a 43.72 win and next was Donnie Boyer of Foxcroft Academy (44.36)
- 400 Meter Dash - Impressive top speed helped Cody Weaver of Central High School win in 51.99 with Miguel Caballero of Orono High School in tow at 52.14. After that was Chase Small of Foxcroft Academy at 53.80
