Pierce Gorneault of Caribou led the Class of 2029 a year ago; he went on to finish 7th in the Class B state meet and ran 16:40.42 for 5k. Callahan Stiasny of Bonny Eagle ran 17:28 last fall; he finished 23rd in the Southern Maine A Regional. Maranacook's Gage Mattson was fifth in the Class C state meet in 2025; he clocked a best of 17:29.30 for 5k last year. Wyatt Quint of Houlton/GHCA finished 13th at the C state meet, clocking a 17:31.34 best in the 5k. Scarborough's Alex Howland was the top Class A freshman in the state meet last fall; he finished 28th.
Others to watch: William Parker and Avery Redfern of Camden Hills, Jackson Garcia of Poland, Charles Schmid of York, Jack Lucas of Gray New Gloucester, Finley Hermans of George Stevens Academy, and Logan Witmer of Houlton/GHCA.
