Riley Masters Transfers to Oklahoma

As first reported by Flotrack, Riley Masters of the University of Maine will transfer to the University of Oklahoma in January to continue his collegiate running career. The junior from Bangor, Maine has excelled as a Black Bear,  setting numerous school records (1500, Mile, 3k & 5k) as well as qualifying for the NCAA national meet 3 times including a 5th place finish in the Mile during the 2010 indoor season to earn All-American honors.

 

MaineTrackXC spoke briefly with Masters Friday afternoon to inquire whether or not he will compete during the upcoming indoor season or wait until the spring. "I am not sure yet. we have been talking about both options" Masters said of his plans to compete at Oklahoma this winter. The junior has one xc, one indoor & two outdoor seasons of eligibilty left.
