Abby Mace chooses the University of Connecticut
Abby Mace of Maranacook HS, one of the top distance runners the last 4 years has made her decision to don the University of Connecitcut jersey next fall. Mace who had a decorated career at Maranacook HS, won 2 Class B State XC titles, was a 3x time All-New England seclection in XC, won the 2009 1600m & 3200m outdoor titles in Class B, captured the Class C triple crown 1600m, 800m, 3200m in 2010, & last year won the 1600m & 3200m Class C outdoor titles. Abby who competes in XC skiing during the winter will have the opportunity to run year round for the first time.
