Ben Allen of Portland HS was the top male runner covering the 1.6 mile course in 8:39, he was closely followed by Biddeford's Cam Nadeau (8:42) & Robert Hall of Scarborough (8:45) in the first race of the day. In the race two Massabesic's George Morrision took top honors in 9:06. Race #3 saw Jake Goodwin of Marshwood 9:09 cross the line first. Next up in race was Massabesic's Remi Gaetiens in a strong 9:21. Race 5 belonged to Jacob Terry of Scarborough as he clocked a top 15 performance with his 9:14. The Red Storm continued to roll in race 6 with Matt Aceto (9:15). Sam Terry of Scarborough won the 7th race handily in 9:41.
In the boy's JV race Bonny Eagle ran their top 2 varsity guys Garrett Swett (9:19) took top honors while teammate Spencer Hugo-Vidal (9:22) took runner-up honors. While in the freshman race it was a Scarborough 1-2 finish with Andrew Sholl taking first 9:34, & Colin Tardiff(9:44) in 2nd.
The 2x time defending Class A champions Scarborough were the top boys team with a combined time of 64:54 for the top 7. Marshwood was 2nd 66:16 & Massabesic 3rd 67:10
On the girls side Charlotte Pierce of the host team Thornton Academy was dominate in her victory as she clocked 9:38, 2nd place overall went to Samantha Cox of Bonny Eagle(9:58) with Cheverus's Shannon Conley (10:02) in 3rd. Race #2 went to Kiera Murray of Cheverus who ran the 4th fastest time of the day 10:11. In race #3 BE's Kristen Glennie was victorious in 10:27. The Scots continue their winning ways in race 4 as Lexi Vayda (11:04) ran to an easy win. The final race of the day #5 saw Kyaunna Libby of BE easily outdistance the competition with her fine 10:57.
The JV race saw Audrey Weyand of BE get top honors in 11:35, while in the freshman Thornton Academy took the top 2 spots with race winner Abby Runnels (10:51) holding off teammate Katy Leblanc (11:00)
The Scots of Bonny Eagle showed they are one of the best teams in the SMAA & the state with their impressive win 52:48, finishing in 2nd almost 3 minutes back was Cheverus 55:46, Massabesic was 3rd 56:00.
