No. 5 men’s cross country outruns No. 7 Tufts convincingly
Juniors Tully Hannan and Mike Martin tied for the best time of the day, leading the No. 5 nationally ranked Bates men’s cross country team to an 85-126 head-to-head victory over No. 7 Tufts in the Bates Invitational on Saturday at Pineland Farms.
No. 14 Tufts edges women’s cross country at Pineland Farms
The Bates women’s cross country team ran well against visiting Tufts University in a dual race between the fifth- and eighth-ranked Division III teams in New England. But the No. 14 nationally ranked Jumbos displayed better depth, resulting in a 100-114 win over the host Bobcats Saturday at Pineland Farms.

Mariners Run Second at Mount Blue Invitational
With four runners finishing in the top 15, Maine Maritime Academy finished in second place among the five teams competing at Maine-Farmington's Mount Blue Invitational on Saturday. Colby-Sawyer led the pack, which was made up entirely of North Atlantic Conference (NAC) teams.
Mariners Fifth at Mount Blue
Maine Maritime's Emily Fanning (New Boston, N.H.) ran a 26:48 for 26th place in the field of 44 runners competing at Maine-Farmington's Mount Blue Invitational on Saturday. The Mariners finished in fifth place among the five North Atlantic Conference teams running in the event, won by Husson University.

Women’s XC third at UMF Invitational, Huber 10th overall
University of Maine at Farmington junior Rachel Huber (Bangor, Maine/Bangor) ran to a 10th place finish overall and led the Beavers to finish third out of five teams at the UMaine-Farmington Invitational, Saturday morning at the Mt. Blue High School course.
