Fast Times in the KVAC Friday Night

The KVAC meet at Bowdoin College on Friday night saw some new top performances. On the boys side Brunswick's Alex Nichols opened his regular season with a state leading performance in the 400m(51.24) & 200m (23.27) to highlight the meet. Also Jamie Ross of Brunswick set a new state leading mark in the 800m as he clocked a fast early season 2:00.62

In girls action Brunswick's 4x800 set a new standard with a 10:22.74 clocking which works out to 4 splits under 2:36. Also Bethanie Brown added state leader #2 to her resume for 2012 as she clocked a fast early season 10:49.18 for the 2 Mile. In the 55m hurdles Allison Hill clocked 9.09 to set a new state leader, she held off a strong performance by Waterville's Sarah Shoulta (9.12). Waterville's Kellie Bolduc broke the 35 foot barrier oin the triple as she got out to a new state leader 35-0.5
