Dixon breaks Jr 200m record, Scarborough Boys & South Portland Girls win
The first meet of the new year saw some fine performances this evening as the SMAA got the 2013 meet calendar underway. Jake Dixon of Cheverus shattered the Jr. 200m record with a blazing fast 23.85, to take over .54 off the old record. Other top performances came from Robby Hall in the mile (4:33.06), Meredith Willard in the Sr 55m (7.65), Alec James (13-0) in the pole vault, & Nyajock Pan 1:33.80 in the 600yd. - Jr 200 Meter Dash - Katherine Kirk of Scarborough High School took it home in 28.41 trailed by Lauren Magnuson of South Portland High School and her 28.81
- Sr 200 Meter Dash Anne Slattery of Cheverus High School drove to a 28.46 to win in section 1 with Meredith Willard of Cheverus High School taking section 2 in 28.51 Clara Ellis of South Portland High School (28.51), Olivia Jones of Biddeford High School (28.75)
- Jr 400 Meter Dash - Lauren Magnuson of South Portland High School smoked a 1:04.68 to win, Running well in 2nd was the 1:06.18 by Meagan Johnson of South Portland High School Next was Sarah Mount of Cheverus High School in 1:06.21
- Sr 400 Meter Dash Karli-an Gilbert of Scarborough High School blazed a 1:06.01 for the win holding off the 1:06.27 by Elyse Caiazzo of Cheverus High School.
- Sr 4x200 Meter Relay - South Portland High School 1:53.94
- Sr 55 Meter Hurdles - Anne Slattery of Cheverus High School cleared 'em clean in 9.35 for the gold, next across was the 9.73 by Ericka Lightner of South Portland High School, followed by Hannah Southard of Gorham High School (10.09)
- Jr 55 Meter Hurdles- Laurine German of South Portland High School ran 9.65 to hold off a strong challenge from Sarah Rinaldi of Scarborough High School 9.83
- Sr 55 Meter Dash - Meredith Willard of Cheverus High School took it home in 7.65 followed by Olivia Jones of Biddeford High School in 7.86, Anne Slattery of Cheverus High School (7.97), Clara Ellis of South Portland High School (7.98)

- 600 Yard Run - Great race for Nyajock Pan of South Portland High School who won in 1:33.80 a new league best
