Bangor's MacLean leaps to new EMITL HJ record 5'6

 

Bangor senior Grace MacLean adds the EMITL high jump record with a clearance of 5-6. The old record of 5-5 stood for 27 years, was previously held by Kimberly Hamm of Bangor. Her impressive resume continues to grow as this is the 2nd record she has broken or tied this season, earlier in the year she tied the long jump record with a jump of 17-5. Grace also added wins in the 55m Hurdles 8.80 and the long jump 16-2 1/4. Other standouts included doubles win by Tia Jackson of Old Town with a 7.70 in the 55m & 33- 7 3/4, she also added a 2nd in the high jump at 5-2. Elizabeth Labun of Hampden Academy was a double winner in the mile (5:54.06) & 800m (2:35.79)

 On the boys side Andrew Toothaker of Hampden won the 55m Hurdles (8.14) & the 400m (53.68), the hurdles time is the top Class A this year. Nick Kopf of Hampden continued his dominance in the 800m with a fine 2:04.81 clocking
