Ellsworth junior Dan Curts opened his indoor season in impressive fashion with state leading performances in the mile (4:26.52) & 2 mile (9:49.47). Aleta Looker took over the state lead in the 800m with a fine 2:20.06.
Meet A
Brewer's Teal Jackson added 3 more wins in the 55m (7.58), 200m (26.60) & 400m (61.46), while MDI's Nora Hubbell ran to wins in the 800m (2:29.33) & 2 MIle (12:08.78). On the boys side Donald Boyer of Foxcroft won the 55m hurdles 8.15, and jumped 6-2 in the high jump for a new Class B leader, Boyer now has the state leader in the hurdles and high jump. Jeremy Bissell of Brewer won 2 events with a leap of 19-11 1/4 in the long jump & 400m (54.18), and also finished 2nd in the 55m (7.01)

- 55 Meter Dash - Teal Jackson of Brewer High School took it home in 7.58. Jackson had the top time out of the prelims (7.65)
