KVAC Track Meet

Thank you for coming to Camden Hills Regional High School home track meet!
Location of Camden Hills Regional High School: 25 Keelson Drive, Rockport, ME 04856

Bus Parking & Team Drop Off: The track is located behind the school. Enter the main driveway and take the first right hand turn to circle around to the back of the school. Buses please let athletes off near the restrooms/concessions building. The buses should continue around the school and take a right at the first stop sign into the student and spectator parking area. Please park along the back of that parking area.

Teams Competing: Gardiner, Mt. View, Nokomis, Oceanside, and Camden Hills
Team Areas: Athletes can set up their team areas outside of the fenced track area. Tents can be set up on the grass area near the flag pole. If you dont have a tent your team can either set up near the flag pole or in the bleachers.

1. All tents should be staked and weighted down. We tend to get unexpected winds and many teams have lost their tents at our facility.
2. Please leave a clean team area when you depart at the end of the meet.
3. Restrooms are available in the Concession Stand area. The concession stand will NOT be open for this meet.
4. Please remind your athletes to dress appropriately. The temperatures are still dropping quickly when the sun starts to go down. The school will not be open to visiting teams.
Rules and Expectations for the track meet:
1. Only pyramid spikes may be used on our track. 1/4 inch maximum.
2. Only competitors or those actively warming up will be allowed in the infield of the track.
3. Check in for the shorter sprinting events will be at the starting line of that event. 300H and all distance events will be at the table next to the timing tent.
4. Our athletic trainer, Amia Pelletier, will be on site during the meet. Please bring your own supplies if your athletes need taping.
Meet Schedule:
3:10 PM - Officials / Volunteers Meeting
3:15 PM - Coaches Meeting
3:20 PM - Graduating Senior Ceremony
3:30 PM - Field Events Begin
4:00 PM - Running Events Begin

Long and Triple Jumps: There are two jumping pits for the horizontal jumps, one for boys and one for girls. Both long jump and triple jump will be open pit with 3 jumps, no finals. There will be no runbacks allowed after the meet begins at 3:30. Please arrive with a measured approach mark for long and triple jumps.
Throwing Events: The shot put, discus and javelin will also be open pit. (3 throws, no finals). The javelin approach is on grass.
We will plan to have each field event open for an hour. If numbers require we keep them open longer that will be announced the day of the meet. Please remind your athletes to check out for running events and return as soon as possible to their field events.

Field Events begin at 3:30 pm after senior recognition

Boys Long Jump followed by Boys Triple Jump
Girls Triple Jump, followed by the Girls Long Jump
Girls High Jump, followed by Boys High Jump
Boys Discus, followed by Girls Discus
Girls Shot Put, followed by Boys Shot Put
Boys Javelin, followed by Girls Javelin

Track Events Schedule:
The track events will begin at 4:00 pm. In all track events, the girls are first, followed by the boys
4:00 pm Start: 4 x 800m Relay (Boys and girls race together)
1600m Racewalk (Boys and girls race together)
100m/110m Hurdles
100m Dash
1600m Run
4 x 100m Relay
400m Dash
300m Hurdles
800m Run
200m Dash
3200m Run (Boys and girls race together)
4 x 400m Relay

Spectators: No spectators on the infield of the track or in competition areas.
Field events can be viewed:
HJ- outside the fence at the top of the track.
LJ and TJ- along the fence beside the jump pits.
Shot put- the small bleachers beside the shot circle.
Discus- from the bleachers
Javelin- from behind the flagged-off area of the javelin sector.
