Meet Information

Due to the weather forecast, the Capital City Classic is postponed to Monday morning at 9am. 9:30 field start, 10:00 running events.
There will be a Senior Recognition at 9:15AM, and the National Anthem at 9:25AM.
All rosters and team entries should be submitted on me.milesplit by Sunday, May 25 at
5:00PM. There will be no additions or re-seeding upon your arrival to the meet - only
scratches.

Team Arrival: Buses can unload teams directly in front of the track and proceed to park in front
of the school or in a lot overlooking the track.
Bathrooms: Bathrooms are located next to the concessions building.

Athletic Trainer: We will have an athletic trainer on site throughout the duration of the meet.
Spectators: Please let parents and fans know that will be charging admission to spectators.
$5.00 Adults/$3.00 Children.
*NO SPECTATORS ALLOWED ON THE INFIELD, ON THE TRACK, OR INSIDE THE COMPETITION
AREAS. 
Track Events:
HIP NUMBERS. A decision on what events will use hip numbers will be made by our timers.
WE WILL BE USING 8 LANES FOR LANED EVENTS.  DOUBLE POLE FOR NON-LANED (800m and
up)
THERE WILL BE A LINE CLERK who will double check hip numbers, lane assignments, and heats.
Spikes are limited to 1/4.
Combining the 4 x 800M Relay, 1600M Racewalk, and the 3200m: A decision will be made
about combining these running events at the Coachs Meeting.
Throwers 4 x 100!! We welcome all teams to enter a throwers relay team in the 4 x 100. We
will have any thrower 4 x 100 teams compete against each other!!
4 x 400 Relay: We will be using a three turn stagger for the 4 x 400M Relay.

ELECTRONIC TIMING WILL BE USED AT THIS MEET. At the conclusion of each race, your
athletes should return to the finish line in their lane until the timers excuse them.
Athletes should stay off the infield area unless they are in high jump or an upcoming running
event!!
Please have your team stay away from the finish line. Athletes should not ask the timers for
their times. These will be posted on the restroom wall at the conclusion of each event.

FIELD EVENT NOTES:
Starting Heights:

High Jump Girls: 3 8 Boys: 4 6
The bar will go up in 2 increments.
Pole Vault Girls: 5 0 Boys: 6 6
The bar will go up in 6 increments.

Long jump and triple jump will be open pits for 90 minutes for each gender.
Shot put, discus,
and javelin will be run in flights. Shot and discus will be run shortest to longest.
Javelin will
be run longest to shortest.
Athletes should check in when their event is called and warm-up,
jump, and throw during their designated flight or time.
No runbacks in the jumping events.
We want to keep the time to run the field events for each gender to 90 minutes.
*Running events take precedence over field events. We will not wait or make calls for athletes
that are missing from running events.
*Athletes should check out of field events at an appropriate time if they need to leave to
compete in a running event. They should return to their field events and check back in as
soon as possible after their running event is over.
*Three jumps - three throws - No finals.
GENERAL NOTES:
*Athletes can do a total of four events.
*We ask that the athletes and coaches treat our officials and facility respectfully. If there are
any issues please address them to AD T.J. Maines or Coach Shawn Totman.
*We will have a concession stand available throughout the duration of the meet.
