. The meet will be held at Foxcroft Academy, Dover-Foxcroft on June 5, 2010 beginning at 10:00 am.
1
. Directions: From the South, take I-95, Exit 157 (Newport) and take Route 7 thru Dexter into Dover-Foxcroft, to the end where there is a traffic light. Take left onto Route 15 and follow through the town to the Academy which is on the right side of Route 15.
2.
Buses will be directed to a special parking area once they have unloaded the athletes. Make sure your athletes take everything they need for the meet with them when they leave the bus.
B.
Qualifying procedure:
1.
Please check the 2010 MPA outdoor track bulletin thoroughly. Athletes qualify based on an Automatic standard and a Provisional standard. Make sure you are using the Class ‘C’ standards. All athletes must be entered using either the Automatic or Provisional qualifying standard or they will not be considered for entry into the State meet. Do not enter athletes who do not at least meet the Provisional Standard.
2.
If you enter hand-times into your Team Manager, my Meet Manager will convert them to FAT. Enter as 12.5h, or 2:13.5h, or 11:23.9h. If you are using FAT times make sure you enter times to the 100ths for ALL races.

3.
All athletes who reach the automatic standard and are properly entered by their coach using Hy-Tek’s Team Manager will be in that event for the state meet. If fewer than 32 people have reached the automatic standard, then we will go to the best performances on the provisional list as entered by coaches. Once we have reached 32 entries, the field will be capped. If we reach the provisional cut off and we have less than 32 entries in that event, then the field will be capped at the point.
4. Remember, you must enter all the athletes in the events you wish them to compete when you send your entry list. If an athlete and their event are not entered via your Team Manager email, then, only if they are on your paper copy, will they be added and allowed to compete.
5.
There is no standard for relays, but please enter an earned time for your relays. And you must enter the names of the relay runners, up to EIGHT names per relay, at the time the entries are due. No names can be added later.
C.
Entry (seeding) of athletes will be done by the use of the Team Manager computer program.
1.
For your Team Manager program you can download the Events for the State meet from the PVC Track website. http://www.sub5.com/pvctrack/coachinfo.htm
2. See “Download PVC Meet Events File” (use this file as the events are the same for the state meet)
3.
Complete directions on how to do your entries are also located on this page. Please use the Code/Abbrev, Team name, and short team name as listed in the MPA bulletin. If not sure, email me and ask.
4.
Enter up to 8 athletes per relay, preferably in order of running, 1-4, with 5 thru 8 as alternates. Please make sure you enter enough names so you have alternates. Don’t tell me after entries are due or at the meet that you need to add another person so you can run your relay. We can’t add names after the entries are due. Enter alternates to begin with.
5.
You must email (address listed above) your entries to me by 7:00 pm Tuesday, June 1st. Sooner if you can---please
6.
Also, all coaches must fax a paper copy of their entries to me also by 7 pm Tuesday, June 1st. Entry forms (with events and event #s) to fax to me can be downloaded from the www.mpa.cc website. Be sure and check these faxed forms for accuracy. They are your only backups to emailed entries. If an athlete, or an event for an athlete doesn’t come thru on Team Mgr or you forget to enter them in the computer, then the Faxed forms are your only proof and I can only correct errors if the faxed form is correct. FAX: 866-5674 – same as home phone
7.
If you need to update or add someone to your Pole Vault certification form, please Fax the updated form to me by Tuesday, June 1. 866-5674
