MDI Relays 2010

The York girls traveled East this weekend, and showed they will be a team to watch out for in 2010. The Wildcats 4 girls team covered the 1.82 mile relay leg in 49:40 to win by 1:26 over Class B rival John Bapst.  On the boys side Caribou Vikings edged out York by just 3 seconds. Caribou covered the 4 legs in a combined time of 41:43 to York's 41:46. Caribou also added a win in the Mixed race, 2 girls-2 boys clocking 46:11. The fastest boys time of the day came from Caribou junior Celeb Chapman, who covered the course in 9:50, making up a 34 second deficit to pull out the win. Defending Eastern Maine Class B champion Dacie Manion (Old Town) has the fastest time on the day, 11:36, Presque Isle's Alecia Palmer was just one second back in 11:37. York freshman Heather Evans showed she'll be one to keep an eye on this fall, Evans clocked the 3rd fastest girl's time of the day, 11:41 RESULTS
