SMAA season underway: Scarborough earns first boys victory

The SMAA boys season got underway with a meet at Scarborough HS between Deering, Kennebunk, Marshwood & host Scarborough. Despite the dreary weather there were several fine performances. Nick Morris (Scarborough) the Class A indoor 800m champ opened his season with a strong 2:01.57 clocking. Other standout performances came from Trevor Luck (Kennebunk) 6-0 clearance in the HJ, David Mick (Marshwood) 20ft in the long jump, Conor Rothrock (Kennebunk) 146-6 in the javelin, Zach Brown (Scarborough) 10:22.02 in the 3200m & Bryan White (Deering) 47-4 in the shot put. Scarborough won the meet by tallying 118 points to Marshwood's 59 1/2, Deering's 53 & Kennebunk's 48 1/2 Check out meet videos
