Shafer & Austin take top spots @ Lake Region Invite Derek Veilleux Aug 31, 2013

The Lake Region Invitational in Naples Maine, got the WMC and SMAA competition underway on Saturday morning. It was a hot and not so pleasant day for the runners, but the heat was no competition for race winners Hannah Austin of North Yarmouth Academy and Will Schafer of Gray-New Gloucester.

Horne & Conley win Laliberte races, Brunswick top team Derek Veilleux Aug 31, 2013

Josh Horne of Mt Blue took the opening season 2.4 mile race at the Scott Laliberte Invitational today at Cony HS. On the girls side South Portland's Shannon Conley made the trek north a successful one with a victory. Brunswick was the the top team in the combined results.

Southard & Szatkowski win @ Jack Wilkinson Invitational Derek Veilleux Aug 29, 2013

The Jack Wilkinson Invitational was held at the new trails at Narragansett School in Gorham this afternoon. Gorham's Jesse Southard dominated the boys race, as he set the course record with a 16:51 for 5k. On the girls side Bonny Eagle's mary Szatkowski took the win as she set the girls course record with a 20:43. Gorham boys took the win, while Bonny Eagle girls prevailed as well.
