XC Countdown 2023: Hadley Mahoney (Cape Elizabeth)

#5 Hadley Mahoney (Cape Elizabeth)

Class of 2024

2022 Results

  • Class B Southern Regional runner-up 19:46.58
  • Festival of Champions 7th - 18:47.20
  • Southern Maine Classic Champion - 17:55.60

Mahoney had a tough end to her 2022 season as illness ripped through Cape Elizabeth High School, and despite her best efforts to toe the starting line at the state meet it didn't happen. Hadley had been the defending state champion and was coming off a runner-up finish at the regional meet. Unfortunately, the regional meet was the last time we saw Mahoney as she was injured for the entire outdoor track season. Her fitness is unknown at this point, and she hasn't raced yet for Cape Elizabeth this fall however if she can get back to the same level as before there aren't many that can keep up with her.
