2023 Outlook
Portland has been knocking on the door and the Bulldogs hope to break through in 2023. The last time the Bulldog boys won a cross-country team title was 1978. With a new coach at the helm in Frank Myatt Portland has the talent to win. This group is experienced with quality and lots of depth. Leading the way is Nathan Blades who was 5th in the state meet a year ago and earned All-New England honors. Ben Prestes could be the key to the Bulldogs as he gives them a strong 1-2. Aran Johnson emerged a year ago and could be a difference-maker come late October. Charlie Jacques and Jason Hargesheimer are two more capable of breaking 17 minutes.
Coach Frank Myatt's Comments
We had a solid summer of base training, and hopefully, it will translate to success in the fall and carry us into the postseason. We're looking to build on a great campaign last year and hope to improve our finish in the big meets.
