2023 Outlook

The Scots are once again expected to be the top team in Maine this fall. Bonny Eagle has created a dynasty over in Standish as the ladies have won the last four Class A state team titles, and eight of the last ten. The Scots graduated just one runner from the 2022 team that also placed fourth in the New England Championship. The team is led by its senior who have accomplished a lot in their careers so far and 2023 looks to be no different. Leading the way is defending Class A state champion Addy Thibodeau who will look to make it two in a row. Watch for sophomore Marina Violette who is ready for a breakout season after finishing ninth in the state as a freshman, she has the potential for a  top-five in Class A effort come October. Bonny Eagle has quality and depth, Allie Hesler was third a year ago while classmate Kallie Warner was sixth. Come October don't be surprised if the Scots win again.

Coach Ryan Dyer's Comments

I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity to step in for a great coach and a good friend. I was very fortunate to work closely with Mike Burleson for the last 6 years as his assistant within this program and colleague on the track. I've learned a lot from him and our boys Coach Tj Hesler over the years and look forward to continuing our culture and winning tradition here at Bonny Eagle.
Summer training went really well for our girl's team over the last couple of months. They were all able to stay healthy, log a bunch of miles, and build a good base for our season. They are all pretty excited and ready to get the season started.
First and foremost our main expectation is to have all our athletes finish the year happy and healthy. If we are able to do that then we will continue to put ourselves in the conversation of being one of the best teams in the state. In terms of results, contending for both the regional and state titles is always the goal.
