Hey Milesplit! I'm finally back with another blog!

These past few weeks have been really crazy for me, in every respect. A month or so ago, I was on track to hit my usual mileage from last summer of around 85 miles, but I got sick midweek and had to take Saturday and Sunday off.

The next week I only ran twice because I was traveling in Swedish Lapland, the far northern part of Sweden. We traveled inside the article circle for 4 days after taking an overnight bus, and I had little time to get out for even a half hour most days. But I took pictures of some incredible scenery, made great friends, and saw the Northern Lights twice! Well worth it.

The following week my mother and sister came to visit, and again I did not have much time to run, but I squeezed in a couple easy runs when I could.

The following week I started to really get back in my rhythym, going shorter Saturday and Sunday then returning to usual mileage the next week. I was pleased to find that my fitness seemed to be there, which was confirmed by an accidental long tempo on the following Monday.

Right now I am returning from a whirlwind 4 days in Copenhagen, ready to train hard. I am not going to be traveling anywhere until the 21st of April, so the next 3 weeks are absolutely crucial to my training. I won't get another stretch like this to train before the marathon in June and certainly the half on April 25th, so I am going to pour all I have into the following weeks.

I'll be updating with a blog each of the next 3 weeks on the training as I move through my first full training cycle since arriving here. There'll be endless miles, workouts and even a massage or two! I hope everyone is having good training and seasons back home....I've been missing track lately so I'm living vicariously through many of you!

Hej då!
