How is your fitness as you begin the 2013 season. What excites you most about the coming year of HS XC?

I feel amazing and am excited to run and compete with my new team.

How has the transition been from TX to ME this fall, what  is the biggest difference?

The transition has been muy frio and very hilly. Texas was a flat area.

When & how did you get started in cross country?

Well in 7th grade, I was very pudgy and felt the need to lose some weight.

What is your favorite cross country race so far in your high school career?

The home course at Mt. Blue, though not because I won. It's because it was the first REAL cross country course in the woods.

What are the keys to your successful cross country training program?

I have an amazing coach and great teammates. All the support I get from friends and family really helps.

Who are the cross country competitors you most enjoy competing against and why?

Josh Horne is definitely my favorite person to run with. We are fairly equal in speed and he was my first friend in the state. The first person I ran with.

What are your goals for the 2013 cross country season?

I want to make it to new England's, preferably as a team. Also, I would love to break 16 this year because it's been a big barrier for me since last season.
