2013-14 Indoor Track Event Previews: High Jump
Class A
Marshwood's Leah Dodier was the state runner-up a season ago, Dodier jumped a best of 5-0. She'll be looking to move up to the top of podium this winter, in the outdoor state meet she placed 6th.
Scarborough's Sarah Rinaldi placed 3rd in the state with a 5-0 clearance as a sophomore, she had a best effort of 5-2 on the season. She'll be motivated this winter after just missing the podium in outdoors.
Windham's Alexis Wintle had a strong freshman campaign a year ago that saw her jump a best of 5-2, she would go on to finish 4th in the state meet.
Rashad Zagon of Deering is another to watch out for, the senior placed 6th last winter jumping a best of 5-0, she moved up one spot during the outdoor season to 5th.
A pair of freshman Meagan Johnson of South Portland & Aly Atherton of Scarborough each where on the podium last winter, the duo tied for 6th with a 4-10 clearance.
Watch for senior Natalie Foster of Scarborough who didn't score indoors but cleared 5-0 outdoors for a 4th place finish at states.
All returners who meet the state qualifying mark of 4-8

Class B
Defending state champion Tia Jackson of Old Town is back looking to stand atop the podium again this winter. Jackson jumped a best of 5-4 last season, she added the outdoor title to her resume as well.
Nicole Nichols of Medomak Valley finished 4th last season with a 4-10 clearance, her best effort of 2013 was a 5-0 jump.
Yarmouth's Emma Egan jumped her way to a 5th place finish in 2013. Egan cleared a best of 5-0 indoors, she carried over her success outdoor where she finished as the state runner-up.
Izzy Hodgeman-Burns of Fryeburg was on the podium 6th place last winter, she jumped of 4-8.
Waterville's Kellie Bolduc is another threat if she opts to contend the event, Bolduc jumped a best of 5-0ft last year.
