Boys Meet

Hampden Academy came into this meet ready to get after it. Their toughest competitor was without senior sprint star Peter Manuel, as well as senior distance star Jon Stanhope (illness) of Bangor. Not to be denied of the spotlight, standout senior Dan Curts of Ellsworth had a monster day, winning two individual events (mile and 2 mile), anchoring a winning 4x800m relay team, setting a league record (4:16.38 in the mile) and getting Outstanding Performer of the Meet.
