Cape Elizabeth's Liam Simpson had a strong run in the emerging elite 2 mile as the senior finish 5th in section 1, and 12th overall with his personal best & school record 9:33.04. Watch the race
Scarborough High School ran in the emerging elite 4x200m, the team of Austin Doody, Cam Langlois, Jerry Kenney & Max Ornstein ran 1:34.45 to place 4th in section 3, and 43rd overall out of 68 teams.

USM junior Jamie Ruginski earned his first All-American award with a third place finish in the long jump with a leap of 23-7 1/4
Men's Weight Throw
Bates College junior Sean Enos earned All-American honors as he finish 8th throwing 60-9 1/4
Women's Distance Medley
Bates College finished 5th in 11:44.72, while Erzsebet Nagy helped Middlebury to a 7th place finish 11:44.95
Men's Pole Vault
John Wisener of Bates cleared 14-7 1/4 to finish 15th
Women's Weight Throw
Katherine Harmon of Bowdoin had a best throw of 49-10 to place 15th overall
Women's 800m
USM's Hannah Damron was 6th in section 1 with a time of 2:13.39, she didn't qualify for the final
Men's 800m
Mitchell Black of Tufts advanced to final as he finished 2nd in section 1 running 1:52.20, Keene State senior Ryan Widzgowski also qualified for the final as he placed 3rd in section 1 running 1:52.47. Bowdoin sophomore Jacob Ellis won section 1 running 1:52.01 he's onto the final tomorrow as well
Women's Pole Vault
Erin Silva of Bowdoin finished 11th with a 12-1 1/2 clearance
Women's 400m
Peyton Dostie of USM placed 3rd in section 4 running 58.35, she finished 16th overall
Men's 400m
Jeremy Collins of USM finished 3rd in section 4 running 49.23, overall he was 12th
Women's Mile
Brandeis senior Amelia Lundkvist finished 6th in section 1 and 12th overall with her 4:59.78
Men's Mile
Bowdoin's Cob Horowitz qualified for the final with a second place finish in section 1 running 4:12.70. Keene State's Ryan Widzgowski almost qualified for the final with a third place in section 2 with a time of 4:13.35. Chris Kibler of Fitchburg State also will run in the final he ran 4:12.84 to finish 4th in section 1.
Women's Pentathlon
Bowdoin's Addison Carvajal was 11th overall scoring 3344 points.
Men's Heptathlon
Eric Wainman of Bates sits in 11th place after day 1 with 2676 points
NCAA D1
Dartmouth's Will Geogehgan the lone Maine native to qualify for the division 1 meet competed in the mile semifinals. Geoghegan didn't disappoint in his first indoor nationals race as he finished second place in semifinal #2 to automatically qualify for the final. Will's time was 4:09.94, he'll run in the final at 8PM EST tomorrow as he looks for a podium finish.
