Huge openers in the KVAC

Isaiah Harris (Lewiston) opens with a 50.21 for 400m followed by a 2:05.81 800m, & 23.14 200m, while across the river Hunter Martin serves notice to the rest of the sprinters in the state with his 10.98 & 22.59 clockings for 100m & 200m respectively.

 

While the weather is more suited for winter acitivities, the KVAC outdoor track & field regular season got underway on Thursday & Friday and produced some excellent marks. Check them out below

Girls Highlights

Synclaire Tasker of Brewer had a strong triple with win in the 100 Meter Hurdles 15.60, 300 Meter Hurdles 48.80 SB & Triple Jump 34-11

Rachel Bergeron of Waterville  won the Shot Put 35-2 SB & Discus 91-9 SB

Waterville's Sarah Shoulta had a strong day as well picking up wins in the Long Jump 15-4.25 & Pole Vault 7-6 plus adding a second in the

Good opener in the high jump from freshman Katie Lopes of Waterville as she cleared 5-0 100 Meter Hurdles 16.89

 

Boys Highlights

Lewiston Isaiah Harris made a statement in his first outdoor meet of 2014, as he was a triple winner in the not often tried 400-800-200 triple. In the 400 Meter Dash, he clocked  50.21, follwed up by a 2:05.81 in the 800m, before he added the 23.14 win in the 200m

Waterville's Jordhan Levine won the Triple Jump with a big mark of 43-2, he added a 15.87 mark in the 110m Hurdles good for second.

Troy Gurksi had a strong day for the Panthers as he won the 110 Meter Hurdles in 15.63 then added a win in the Long Jump 20-2.5

Brewer's Adam Lufkin was a souble winner in the throws winning the Shot Put  41-0.75 & Discus 117-0
