The Class A State Championship is a few weeks away, and we wanted to take a look at what could happen. Bangor High School leads the Class A girls standings with 94 points, followed by Scarborough High School at 79. Hampden Academy sits in third with 74.5 points, while Marshwood High School (51.5) and Cheverus/Waynflete (50) round out a competitive top five. Several additional teams fall in the 40-50 point range, with several schools contributing scoring performances, highlighting strong depth across the field. Scoring was based on the state meet format (10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1) using athletes' 2025-26 seasonal bests. In accordance with the three-event limit used at the state championship, athletes projected to score in more than three events were limited to their top three, with the lowest-seeded event removed.
