Tell us how your summer training is going?
My summer training has been going well. I've been extending my long runs and trying to run almost every day!

What are your goals for the upcoming season?

I want to improve my 5k PR this season. Ideally, I would like to run under 19 minutes.

How long have you been running and how did you get started?

I have been running since 6th grade, because my brother loved cross country and convinced me to join the team. I was terrible.

Will you be competing anywhere out of state this season?

I hope so! I ran at New England's and Footlocker last year, it was a huge honor and I'd love to again! I also hope to run at the Manchester Invitationals again, as that was fun!

What is your favorite course to run in Maine?

My favorite course is my home course at Vaughan Woods! Even though it's full of hills, I really enjoy running there.

What is the toughest course to run in Maine?

The toughest course would also probably be Vaughan Woods. I base all of the hills in other races off of the Vaughan hills.

What meet during the regular season do you put extra emphasize on to compete well at?
I put emphasis on the invitational meets. But I usually base the race off of how I'm feeling, and what my coach's plan is.

What is your favorite cross country race so far in your high school career & favorite cross country memory?

My favorite race and one of my favorite memories were the same day. I had a lot of fun with my team at the 2013 Manchester Invitational. Everyone supported each other and had fun, and I remember singing a lot.

When you are not running what is your favorite thing to do?

I like to do a lot of things when I'm not running. I like kayaking and canoeing, especially with my family and friends. I tried paddle boarding and it was really fun.

Favorite quote?

In one of my races we all wrote "All it takes is all you got. -Marc Davis" on our arms, and for whatever reason it stuck with me.

What shoes do you train in?

I have trained in the same model of Asics for a couple of years now. They work for me, so I don't want to change them!

What shoes do you race in?

I race in a pair of Nike spikes. They're comfortable, so I like them.

What professional athlete would you most like to meet?

I should pick a famous runner, but I really look up to the US soccer team's goalie, Tim Howard. People didn't think he was good enough, or the best in the league, but he set a World Cup record. I just like how he overcame all the doubt and factors against him.

What is something that most people don't know about you?

I'm pretty good at fly fishing. My family loves it, and every summer we travel six hours further into Maine to stay at a cabin by a lake/river for a week.
