Hello fellow running colleagues!

This week, for many, is the first week of the regular season, pretty exciting. Who doesn't love the start of the season? Fresh goals, new teamates, getting to lace up those spikes for a real race. Many of you have already raced this season; looking at the results we seem to have a couple good races in the future. My season will open on friday at T.A. I'm looking forward to opening on such a fast coutse. Some of you may be wondering why I didn't race the relays. I'm not injured, don't worry. I simply had a sign language class at the same time as the relays. I was at TA to see everyone warm-up. I wish I had been able to see the races, there were so many great performances as there always is.

That night was a very busy one for me. I was at the relays until 4, trying to get in some mileage in. I was not able to get as much as I hoped to due to wasting a solid half hour waiting for the bathroom. This was due to people changing in the bathroom, big pet peeve *end of mini rant*. I rushed from the relays to USM for my class, I barely made it. After a very interesting class, my stepmum and I rushed over to a restraunt to meet up with my father. One of my father's friends, Bill Brock, had the premiere of his new show, Monsters Underground, on Discovery. It was great to see someone's dreams achieved by hard word. Also really cool to see a local guy on tv. If you guys get a chance check it out. That ended around 11 so it wasn't until around 2 when I went to bed. Thank dog for coffee or I don't even know how I would have made it through my run the next day. (If/when you guys do drink coffee make sure you drink enough water to counter the coffee stealing water from your system:)

Looking at the preseason performances so far this season, it seems along with the freshmen class we have gained a lot of great talent. Also so many people have improved from where they were last year. Those two things combined will hopefully make this XC season interesting. After we graduated such a strong class of runners last year I was worried about the level of competition we would have this year. I'm glad to see that that won't be a worry. We will have a very competitive season and look forward to racing against all of you guys. I'm pumped to see how this season turns out. Good luck to everyone on the start of the regular season!
