NBON: Spencer Dunn racewalk national runner-up
Spencer Dunn of Edward Little finished as the boys national runner-up in one mile racewalk. The Class A runner-up entered the event as the defending national champion but was unable to match the speed of champion Cameron Haught of Ohio who was the only walker in the field to break 7 minutes as he lead from start to finish to stop the clock at 6:46.23. Dunn battled Juan Moscosco on the final lap as he edged ahead at the line to nab second place with his 7:09.89 effort.

The Noble boys 800m Sprint Medley had a great showing as they finished as the second best team in heat 4 as they ran a state leading 1:37.83 to finish 21st out of 51 teams.
Also competing on day 1 was Scarborough's Griffin Madden who ran in heat 5 of the boys emerging elite 100m hurdles, Madden the Class A runner-up finished 35th overall a time of 15.41.
In the Javelin Finn Davis-Batt (George Stevens Academy) threw 127-6 to place 51st in the merging elite section.
