Tell us how your summer training is going?

It has been going really well, I've been slowly raising my mileage to get a great base to start the xc season on, and I'm really excited to see what the team can do this year.

What are your goals for the upcoming season?

I would love to get in the time range of 16:15 to 16:30 for the 5k. But more importantly I want to stay healthy, especially since I'm going to be running indoor this year, I want to make sure that I don't put to much strain on my body with really high mileage.

How long have you been running and how did you get started?

Honestly I can't remember when I first started running. Both my parents were runners so they got me into it probably around 3rd grade. I really started to love running when I became a part of Junior Olympics cross country and I was even running with some of my current high school teammates.

Will you be competing anywhere out of state this season?

Hopefully my team does really well in the state meet so we get the chance to go to the New England meet, it's a great experience running with teams from all over the region.

What is your favorite course to run in Maine?

My favorite course has to be Belfast. It's a really fast course, and we only get to run on it once or twice a year, so it stays fresh and doesn't get old.

What is the toughest course to run in Maine?

Definitely the Twinbrook course in Cumberland. It's constantly going uphill or downhill so it's always the toughest for me.

What meet during the regular season do you put extra emphasize on to compete well at?

I put extra emphasis on the Festival of Champions meet in Belfast. It's the largest meet I compete at during the regular season, so it's really good experience for running smart when there are so many people in the race.

What is your favorite cross country race so far in your high school career & favorite cross country memory?

For me my favorite race was at states last year where the pack really pulled together and won the state title. And my favorite memory is the excitement after that race when the girls won the title too, and everyone was so excited that both teams had won.

When you are not running what is your favorite thing to do?

Mixing sound at my church, and learning about live sound through experience with the band.

Favorite quote?

"I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength" Philippians 4:13

What shoes do you train in?

I've been training in Nike Pegasus for most of high school. I was up to my 4th pair going into summer when I decided to switch to the Nike Vomero 10, and so far they are definitely the best shoes I've ever had.

What shoes do you race in?

I've gone between Nike victory xc 2's or Brooks Mach 16 spikes.

What professional athlete would you most like to meet?

Tim Tebow

What is something that most people don't know about you?

After this year I will have been homeschooled through all 12 grades.
