XC action gets under way
2015 XC got underway with the Wilkinson Invitational on Thursday, and a South Portland vs Cape scrimmage on Friday. MaineTrackXC had onsite coverage of both meets.
Wilkinson Invitational
Anna Slager of Gorham blitzed the 2 mile course at Shaw Park in Gorham as the sophomore clocked a 11:51 to win 1:24 over Bonny Eagle freshman Christine Toy.
On the boys side it was Gorham senior Jesse Southard who covered the 2 mile course in 10:18 to win by 21 seconds over Windham junior Ben Breton.
